EAC Consulting Group are currently representing a Market Leading Fitness Equipment and Clothing Distribution company based in the Buckinghamshire area. As a Purchasing Assistant, you will be working as part of the Buying team.

Raising approved purchase orders with suppliers based on current inventory levels, forecasts and supplier lead-times to ensure sufficient stock coverage for customer requirements.
Acting as a liaison between suppliers and our warehouse to book delivery time slots for inbound goods.
Inputting purchase orders into our database with 100% accuracy and uploading them to our warehousing system.
Ensuring suppliers are aware of and comply with our internal supplier guidelines.
Monitoring Goods-In to ensure they are processed accurately by the warehouse
Ensuring all internal product cost pricing is up to date and reporting anomalies to the purchasing manager
Tracking shipments and ensuring promise dates on purchase orders are as accurate as possible to aid the sales team in providing a better customer experience.
Liaise with freight forwarders to ensure all import documents are received.
Liaising with the eCommerce Team regularly to ensure new products are added prior to deliveries arriving.
Analysis of sales and merchandising reports to identify opportunities and trends.
Building strong working relationships with our suppliers.
The Ideal Candidate
High attention to detail and accuracy
Microsoft Package, including Excel
Self-motivated, quick learner with a passion to succeed
Ability to work in a fast paced environment and working towards deadlines
Previous experience within Buying or Merchandising would be beneficial
